Abstract Submission Deadline Extended
If you have not submitted an abstract to ICKL20, please note that the deadline for submission has been extended until November 30, 2016.
The 20th Biennial Meeting of the International Circle of Korean Linguistics (ICKL20) will be held at the University of Helsinki, Finland on 27-29 June 2017. This will be the first international conference since the merger of the Harvard-ISOKL (Harvard International Symposium on Korean Linguistics) into the ICKL (International Circle of Korean Linguistics).
We hope to celebrate with all scholars in the field of Korean language and linguistics one hundred years of the study of Korean language in the West in memory of J. G. Ramstedt (1873-1950), who was dedicated to teaching and conducting research on Korean at the University of Helsinki in the early 20th century. Through the academic event, we hope to join the Centennial Independence Festival of Finland.
We welcome abstracts for papers on any aspect of Korean language and linguistics including, but not limited to; Phonetics, Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Semantics, Pragmatics, Historical-Comparative Linguistics, Psycholinguistics, Cognitive Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Discourse & Grammaticalisation, First & Second Language Acquisition, and Language Education.
